Holy Love holds a number of outreach and charitable events throughout the year. We participate in Holy Hammers, God's Work Our Hands, Aurora Interfaith Community Services and more. Your hands and efforts are always welcome. Check below or go to our event page below for upcoming opportunities.
The work of CWS (Church World Service) and our local hunger agency (Aurora Interfaith Community Services) continues. CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide (including here in the U.S.) get enough food to eat. That's a big task in 2020. You can help make a difference in local AND global hunger by supporting the CROP Hunger Walk set for October 18th. Due to COVID concerns the walk will be virtual and here is how YOU can help:
Please contact Deb Watson (303-766-8873) or Donita Harvey (303-690-9441) if you have questions. Thank you in advance for your support.

Instead of doing baskets this year for Thanksgiving, we have decided to ask for monetary checks or gift cards donations.
Please send contributions directly to Jean Roenfeldt's home (not the church office), no later than November 15th. Please make checks out to Holy Love and in the memo line put Thanksgiving drive.
The money will be distributed to the PWC and AICS Food Banks.
The Angel Tree Project provides Christmas presents and gift cards for refugees, foster children and others in the Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountain's program. This year, LFSRM will be collecting monetary donations only. LFSRM employees will be using the donations to purchase the requested gift items.
To make a contribution, please make your check payable to Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains and designate for Angel Tree

Hello Holy Love Family,
During this pandemic, we are all understandably being as careful as possible and doing everything we can to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Therefore, instead of planning our usual communal work projects for the 2020 God’s Work Our Hands weekend, we are suggesting that members who are looking to make an impact on our community consider making a donation to a local charity.
Below are some suggestions with information and links about each charity. I would also be more than happy to provide a pick up and drop off service for any members that would like to make a direct donation of products to one of these charities. .
Please just call my cell phone to arrange a time. Alan Schmuck 217-316-9696 head of Evangelism.
The link below is to the Ronald McDonald House Charities page that has the wish list, but it also gives the opportunity to use a Target or Amazon wish list for products that can be purchased and delivered directly to RMH.
RMHC is the catalyst to create a world where children have access to quality health care and their families are able to better comfort and support them while actively participating in their care.

Are you searching for ways to help others during these trying times? Please consider donations to Family Promise of Greater Denver.
Family Promise of Greater Denver (Family Promise) was founded in 1997 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Family Promise is associated with a national organization comprised of more than 200 affiliates in 43 states.
Family Promise is one of the few organizations helping to meet the needs of families experiencing homelessness within the Denver area. Prior to COVID-19, Family Promise worked with 10 faith communities within the Denver metro area to shelter families for a week at a time in their facilities. (Over the last few years, a couple of LCM's Bible studies have prepared and provided meals for the families.)
Through a spectrum of supportive services, Family Promise walks alongside families from surviving to thriving. For additional information, a recent article highlights the issue of family homelessness: https://denverite.com/2020/07/16/homeless-families-in-denver-are-silently-suffering-under-the-economic-weight-of-the-coronavirus/?mc_cid=6a1fbd6c80&mc_eid=314db264b7&fbclid=IwAR0_4SmhOYOc328OCiBj9Ji5Bh609qtSjy-wDNYkq_44OTeKlz17azub2ug
The families are currently being housed in motels with small kitchenettes. They need to purchase food and laundry supplies. The families need quarters to wash their clothes, bedding, and other items. If you are looking for a way to help families in need, please consider a donation to Family Promise. https://www.familypromiseofgreaterdenver.org/
Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. Our history is rooted in a love of Christ and a commitment to share that love with others. At multiple locations throughout our community, we help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.
Connecting People with Housing, Shelter, Health and Hope
Our mission is simple but bold, we don't just want to help those in need, we want to reduce street homelessness by 250 clients per year. We strive to assist those we work with in order for them to evolve into self-sufficient members of their communities. This involves case management, active outreach and tremendous time and effort.
Aurora Warms The Night is already making a major impact on the city with our countless initiatives and good deeds. We invite you to come join us in this beautiful cause.
